Definition
Hemangioma is a benign proliferation of endothelial cells that tends to vasoformation, a generic term for a variety of hamartomatous lesions comprising vascular tissue. Hemangiomas in the breast are a benign group of lesions with a broad morphologic spectrum (Table 1).
