Introduction

Lindsey Osterman is a faculty member in the Psychology Department at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia. Her doctorate is in Social and Biological Psychology, and she has conducted research on individual differences in the tendency to forgive interpersonal transgressions, the culture of honor, and, most recently, parasocial relationships.

Early Life and Educational Background

Osterman was born on November 12, 1988, in Slidell, Louisiana. She earned a BS in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2006. She attended a doctoral program at the University of Oklahoma and earned her MS in Social-Personality Psychology in 2009, and her doctorate in Social-Personality Psychology (with a minor emphasis in Biological Psychology) in 2012 under the supervision of Ryan P. Brown.

Professional Career
