Biographical Details

Jonathan Michael Adler was born on September 23, 1978, in Boston, Massachusetts (USA). He grew up in Newton, Massachusetts, and graduated from Newton North High School in 1996. He attended Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, where he majored in psychology and minored in theater. He graduated in 2000, summa cum laude and served as the Undergraduate Editor of the Bates College Journal of Psychology. He earned a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology degree in 2005 and a Ph.D. in Personality and Clinical Psychology in 2009 from Northwestern University. He completed a predoctoral clinical internship at the Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Chicago in 2009. In September 2009, Adler began as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Olin College of Engineering in Needham, Massachusetts. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2015.
