Early Life and Educational Background

Pablo Briñol was born on November 19, 1971, in Madrid, Spain. He earned both his B.A. in psychology (1995) and his Ph.D. in social psychology (1999) from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). Right after obtaining his doctorate, Pablo was hired as an assistant professor at UAM, institution where he is still in the faculty. After a postdoc with his adviser and mentor, Richard Petty, he also continues serving as a regular visiting scholar at OSU.

Professional Career

Dr. Briñol has published several books in the domain of attitudes and persuasion, and he has authored more than 120 publications. His research has appeared in top journals of psychology (e.g., Psychological Bulletin, Perspectives on Psychological Science, Psychological Science, Psychological Inquiry) and social psychology (Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Social Cognition, European Journal...
