Arctic and Southern Oceans – one of the four regional volumes of the seven-volume series “World Ocean Geography.” It is a fundamental work consolidating the scientific notions of the physics, economy, and political geography associated with the oceans and their individual regions. A.S.O. consists of two semi-volumes, Arctic Ocean and Southern Ocean, the materials being represented in identical order. A.S.O. is published by USSR Academy of Sciences and USSR Geographic Society in 1985.
