John Hunsley is a professor of psychology at the University of Ottawa, Canada.
Educational Background
Dr. Hunsley received a B.Sc. in psychology in 1981 and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 1985, both from the University of Waterloo. He worked under the supervision of Dr. Herb Lefcourt for his undergraduate research and the supervision of Dr. Don Meichenbaum for his doctoral research.
Professional Career
Dr. Hunsley began his career with a position as an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology, University of Calgary. He worked there from 1986 to 1988 and then moved to the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa, where he has remained. During his time at the University of Ottawa, he has served in several administrative roles, including director of the doctoral program in clinical psychology and director of the clinical psychology program’s training clinic.
