Introduction

Development of humans is an ever evolving process. Sexuality is an essential element in the life of a human being. Its importance is not limited to procreation and survival of human race; rather it has many other significant roles. Sexuality adds to the identity of an individual. Sexuality needs to be understood beyond the boundaries of health, as sexuality is also a social, cultural, economic, ethical, legal as well as spiritual phenomenon (Diamond 2014).

Development of sexuality can be understood from the aspects of physical, emotional, cognitive as well as social domains (Scott and Walsh 2014). Sexual development starts from the intrauterine life and continues throughout the life.
