Introduction

Dr. Robert Kurzban, Ph.D., is a professor of psychology at the University of Pennsylvania who specializes in evolutionary psychology. He attended graduate school at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), where he studied under evolutionary psychologists Dr. Leda Cosmides and Dr. John Tooby. Kurzban earned his Ph.D. from UCSB in 1998. After earning his Ph.D., Kurzban accepted a postdoctoral fellowship in the Economic Science Laboratory at the University of Arizona (1998–2000) followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Anthropology at the University of California, Los Angeles (2000–2002). He joined the Department of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania in 2002.
