Bradford Keeney (1951–present)
Introduction
Bradford Keeney, Ph. D., is a scholar, innovator, and improvisational musician whose eclectic career has spanned a multitude of disciplines over the decades. A former cyberneticist and psychologist, Keeney has dedicated his contemporary work to the anthropology of healing traditions among different indigenous groups. As both a systemic therapist and cultural anthropologist, Keeney’s integrative work has consistently promoted healing through vivacious creativity.
Career
Bradford Keeney earned an undergraduate scholarship to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for science and received his doctoral degree at Purdue University. Keeney has served as both a professor and director of several family therapy doctoral programs and has worked with the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic, the Menninger Foundation, and the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy.
