Introduction
Psychoanalytic couple and family therapy challenges the clinician to take a conceptual journey through the core underlying precepts, research, and theory which lies at the foundation of the richly textured and complex field of psychoanalytical thinking. Without some of the foundational theory, contemporary methods would make little sense to an informed reader.
