Abstract

Excellent anesthetic care of renal transplantation consists of a detail understanding of end-stage renal disease (ESRD), thorough preoperative assessment, intraoperative maintenance of recipient hemodynamics and donor organ perfusion, and diligent postoperative care with medications and fluids. Coupled with good surgical practice, excellent anesthesia may lead to successful transplantation.
