Released in 2016, Abzû is an adventure video game developed by Giant Squid Studios and published by 505 Games for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows. Abzû is named after the freshwater god in the Ancient Mesopotamian religion (Butterworth 2016; Gaston 2016; McElroy 2016; Nava 2016).
