Definitions

  • Virtual Reality: A model of reality with which users can interact using senses such as sight, sound, or touch.

  • Immersive Virtual Reality: A type of virtual reality in which the user’s complete view is surrounded by the synthetic environment, as if they had stepped inside the virtual world. It is usually distinguished by the high level of immersion and interactivity offered.

  • Information Presentation Method: The way information is conveyed to users in virtual world. It can be in various forms such as animation, video, visuals, text, audio, and pictographs.

  • Serious Game: A video game with a purpose beyond entertainment such as teaching users a new skill or training users to improve their existing skills on a subject.
