Abstract

Daniel Fourlanos (ci. 1550–1592) was a Cretan physician/philosopher. He commented in Latin upon Aristotle’s Part of Animals I in the style of the Aristotelianism of Padua where he studied medicine. Back in Crete, he adopted a more philological approach editing, commenting, and translating Theophrastus and Aristotle.
