Introduction
The whole world is now striving toward achieving universal access to high-quality education which is the key to the achievement of peace and sustainable social and economic development. In a bid to help learners in utilizing high-quality educational content and materials, open educational resources (OER) present free accessibility to essential content as well as opportunities for reusability and sharing (Willems and Bossu 2012). Open educational resources are free learning resources accessible and available on the Internet. OER can be defined as “materials used to support education that may be freely accessed, reused, modified and shared by anyone (Downes, 2011).
