Definition

Material unit on Venus, having morphologically smooth surfaces that are occasionally disturbed by a few extensional features related to rift zones, and characterized by their nonuniform radar albedo pattern consisting of numerous bright and dark flow-like features.

Description

The flows of lobate plains can be as long as several hundred kilometers and tens of kilometers wide (Fig. 1).
