Definition
Since 2007 European Union has a new harmonized legislative framework in the field of chemical industry: the REACH regulation (an acronym for: Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals). From a law and economics perspective, a large set of questions emerge with this regulation such as competition, data sharing, innovation, and socio-economic analysis.
REACH
The European REACH legislation is crucial for at least two reasons: It concerns the European chemical industry and it is one of the most complex legislations that the European Union has ever decided to adopt and implement.
