Definition

Twitter, which is an online microblogging service, and Flickr, which is an online image and video hosting service, are two very popular social networking applications for sharing and disseminating content and users’ opinions.

Introduction

Flickr constitutes one of the largest worldwide sources of published images and videos. Flickr users can make comments, generate annotations (via tags), and search and access multimedia content of their interest. Multimedia content tagging is a valuable practice that facilitates tasks that are relevant to the contents of the multimedia resources.
