Description
The Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP), developed by Mark L. Sundberg, Ph.D., BCBA-D, is a criterion-referenced assessment that provides individualized information regarding a learner’s current level of responding across a variety of verbal and learning behavior skills that typically emerge by age 48 months. Within the VB-MAPP is the Early Echoic Skills Assessment (EESA) subtest, developed by Barbara E. Esch, Ph.D., BCBA-D, CCC-SLP, which is used in combination with the VB-MAPP. The information gained through the completion of the VB-MAPP may be used to drive academic and behavioral programming including the development of goals and objectives (Sundberg 2014).
