Abstract
Dystonia is a relatively common movement disorder and characterized by sustained or repetitive involuntary muscle contractions and abnormal postures. In this chapter, basal ganglia circuitry and recent electrophysiological findings in dystonia are briefly summarized, and pathophysiology of dystonia is discussed.
