Corona circumscribing or superimposed with radiating fracture (dike or graben) system (nova), commonly found on Venus. A subtype of corona or a type of volcanic center.
Description
Tectono-magmatic centers with prominent joint structures featuring a corona feature circumscribing or superimposed with a radiating fracture or graben system (nova) (Aittola and Kostama 2002; Krassilnikov and Head 2003) (Fig. 1). They may display an arch-like system of graben formed after and probably independently of corona annulus fractures (Kostama and Aittola 2004). They typically exhibit gently sloped central summits and/or elevated topographic centers surrounded by annular ridges (Stofan et al. 1991). Topography of central summit may vary from elevated, plateau-like, flat, or depressed (Stofan et al. 1991).
