Definition

Donut- or torus-shaped depression detected on Mars.

Description

Ring furrows are circular, flat-floored trenches, surrounding a central, flat-topped mesa or plateau (Fig. 1). The internal plateaus are about the same elevation or lower than the plain outside the trench.
