High negative electrode potential which provides high-voltage cells.
High specific energy and energy density which allows the construction of primary cells that are two to five times better than conventional alkaline cells from an energy standpoint.
Wide range of operating temperatures. Operation from +70 to −40 °C is typical and operation from +150 to −80 °C is possible with some systems.
High-power output. Lithium systems are capable of high-power output using spiral-wound electrodes or other high-surface-area designs.
