Kröger-Vinks Notation of Point Defects

In order to express the defects in solids different notations were proposed. SCHOTTKY [ 1] has introduced the first notation which is an absolute one. KRÖGER and VINK [ 2, 3, 4] developed a different notation which becomes generally accepted and denote structural elements on real sites compared with the normal occupied sites ( Table 1).
