n The method by which the bulk of modern wallpapers are produced. Machine-printing employs a rotary press and a series of cylinders or rollers to turn out wallpaper at high speeds. Raw paper stock is first given a coating of the ground color by a special machine, after which the paper proceeds in a continuous web to the rotary press where the top colors are applied, and it is then festooned on specially heated drying racks.
