\ló- gә-ri-thәm\ n The exponent that indicates the power to which a number is raised to produce a given number. A common logarithm (log) has a base of 10 and a natural (ln) or Napierian logarithm has a base of е (irrational number 2.71828…). Conversion of log to ln: ln N = 2.303 log N.
