n (1) Any process in which two or more components or ingredients are physically intermingled without significant change of the physical states of the components. (2) The bringing together of two or more polymers, using whatever means may be needed, such that the final Scale of Segregation is microscopic or finer. (3) The combining of staple fibers of different physical characteristics to assure a uniform distribution of these fibers throughout the yarn.
