(WLF equation) An empirical equation for the Time-Temperature Equivalence of creep and other properties, that has been successful with many plastics. It is
where T and T g = the temperature of interest and the glass-transition temperature of the polymer, and a T is the Shift Factor, i.e., the ratio of the viscosities at the two temperatures. The equation holds over the range from T g to about T g + 100 K.
