n (1913) The ability of a solid surface to accept contact of and by a liquid, allowing it to spread freely and completely cover the surface. Wettability is closely linked to the equality of components of surface energy and Surface Tension of the solid and liquid involved. If the surface is wettable by the liquid, the contact angle of a droplet on the surface will be less than 10°.
