The degree to which an impregnating resin has filled the voids among the filaments being impregnated. This may be expressed quantitatively as 100 × (1 – vr – VF)/(1 – vr) in which vr = the volume fraction of reinforcing fiber in the laminate and VRF = the final  Void Fraction.
