n (1903) (1) BaSO4. Natural Pigment White 22 (77120). Mineral consisting essentially of barium sulfate. It may contain, in addition, small amounts of sulfates of calcium and strontium, common chalk, calcium fluoride, silica, and iron oxide. Used in paints as a filler or extender.
