Ihsan (good personal conduct), the third aspect of the Islamic creed (first is Islam itself, second is Iman) is described as the act of worshipping Allah as if you see Him, knowing that even if you do not see Him, He sees you. This goes much beyond the ritual prayers, and every good action performed by a believer is seen as an act of worship. This is commonly expressed by Muslims as doing what is pleasing to Allah, who is present, ever watchful.
