Vitamins are nutrients needed for normal growth of insects. Those required are thiamine, riboflavin, pyridoxine, niacinamide, pathothenic acid, biotin, folic acid and choline. Some insects also require carnitine, ascorbic acid, carotene, vitamin B-12, vitamin E, and others.
