Definition
The application of rabiesâimmune globulin is performed as a prophylactic passive vaccination after a contact with an animal which is suspected of being infected with rabies or which suffers from rabies. In this regard, contact is not only defined as a bite, but also as a touching of the animal or a licking by the animal.
