PhD Position at the Institute of Clinical Medicine

Subjects: The position is available for a research project ‘Maintenance and translation of mitochondrial DNA in severe multiorgan disorders of childhood.’

Purpose: This position is for pursuing research level at Institute of Clinical Medicine, University of Oulu, Finland.

Eligibility: The successful candidate should preferably have Master’s degree in biochemistry or biology. Some experience in mammalian cell culture and in basic cell and molecular biology techniques is appreciated. Applicants of Finland are eligible for this research position.

Level of Study: Research

Value: The salary will be based on level 2 of the demands level chart for teaching and research personnel in the salary system of Finnish universities, supplemented by personal work performance up to 46.3 per cent of the job demands level (range from €194,469 to €284,508 per month). The post holder will be appointed under a full employment contract and the employment policy guidelines of the University of Oulu for teaching and research personnel are followed.
