A multidimensional 30-item questionnaire for the assessment of self reported QOL created in 1993 by the European organization for research and treatment of cancer (EORTC) quality of life study group. This questionnaire is composed of scales evaluating physical, emotional, cognitive, role and social functions besides the global quality of life. Three symptom scales evaluate nausea and vomiting, pain and fatigue, while six single items assess dyspnea, diarrhea, constipation, appetite loss, sleep disturbances and financial difficulties
