1 Definition
IGRA is a new technology to diagnose latent infection of TB, and its result is not affected by BCG vaccination history and most mycobacterium infections other than tuberculosis. Therefore, it is expected to be utilized for surveys to determine the TB infection rate in the population. However, the technical stability of handling IGRAs with a large number of samples from a survey is still a concern in resource poor settings.
