CP is a “disorder of movement and posture due to a defect or lesion of the immature brain”(Bax, 1964). Children with CP not only have to contend with a range of physical problems, such as weakness, stiffness and clumsiness, they may also face a range of social and emotional problems, such as peer rejection, depression, frustration, anxiety and anger.
