Biologic Agents are natural molecules involved in the inflammatory process that are structurally modified for therapeutic use in Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). These agents may target inflammatory mediators or surface molecules of immune cells. Biologic agents also have disease-modifying effect as Disease Modifying Antirheumatic Drugs (DMARDs) but act more rapidly.
