Definition

The BDI is a 21-question self-report inventory measuring the severity of depression. The most current version of the questionnaire is composed of items relating to depression symptoms and also physical symptoms such as fatigue and weight loss. The latest version (BDI-II) is positively correlated with the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale.
