One of seven regions of year-round relatively high pressure where the barometer typically registers values higher than circumjacent areas and where the air is drier, skies clearer, and surface wind speeds lower.

The Azores High is a large subtropical anticyclone centered between 25°N and 35°N in the Atlantic Ocean. In winter, it is less pronounced and is at somewhat lower latitudes.
