Glacial Table Landscape

This is a landscape of table-shaped rocks formed by glacial action. On the glacier’s surface, the rate of ice melting slows when it is shaded by large boulders. When a boulder on the ice is shaped like a table, it is called a glacial table. The term glacial table also applies to a moraine boulder transported to the top of another boulder (Fig. 14).
