The demarcation of a geopark is usually set according to the existing boundaries of administrative divisions, major roads (excluding areas occupied by roads), natural terrain such as ridges, valleys, rivers, shorelines, and cliffs, other natural boundaries and the original boundaries of scenic areas. These boundaries require accurate measurement and must be clearly marked by boundary posts or markers.
