Geomorphology is the study of topography and is an important branch of geography and geology. It involves the study of surface morphological characteristics and their genetic types, internal structure, evolution process and distributions. It can be subdivided into climatic geomorphology, dynamic geomorphology, applied geomorphology, regional geomorphology, quantitative geomorphology, experimental geomorphology and historical geomorphology. Geomorphological analysis is the basis for identifying and locating tourist attractions and planning routes, tourism infrastructure and facilities.
