Geological structure refers to the permanently deformed and relatively displaced features of rock. Geological structures are mainly the remnants of crustal movement resulting from crustal evolution, including one-dimensional ‘linear structures’, two-dimensional ‘surface structures’, three-dimensional ‘structural blocks’ and four-dimensional ‘structural system’. The most basic geological structures are folds and faults. Based on the deformed relics, the deformation history of a geologic period can be determined, which in turn can reflect the evolution process and pattern. Typical folds are important geotourism landscape resources.
