This type of map shows the strata, geological formations, magmatism and mineral distribution in a geopark and the surrounding areas. In principle, a 1:25,000 geological map requires a cross-section across the park showing the strata. Geoparks with important geological relics should compile a map at a larger scale with the geological features and their exact locations clearly marked.
