A geological landscape (geo-landscape) forms through geological processes. These landscapes can be categorised into geological section landscapes, tectonic landscapes, palaeontological landscapes, mineral landscapes, geomorphological landscapes, water body landscapes, environmental geological heritage landscapes, and meteorological landscapes. The major categories can be divided into several sub-categories, types and patterns to form an extensive geological landscape system. Landscapes are the most important natural tourism resources and an important research focus of landscape science.

Geological landscape is also known as geological heritage. A geological landscape is a product of both endogenic and exogenic forces that occur during a geological period. It has significant value for scientific research, science popularisation, education, aesthetics and appreciation. It may include surface and sub-surface landforms, underground caves, preserved traces of life and geological structures....
