Geography is the study of the interaction between the natural and human elements of the Earth’s surface, its formation and evolution, and disciplines such as the spatial structure, temporal processes, geographical differentiation and human-land relations of the Earth. It mainly includes physical geography, human geography and applied geography. Geomorphology, climatology, hydrology, soil science, environmental geography and biogeography are included in physical geography. Economic geography, urban geography, political geography, population geography, cultural geography, tourism geography, ethnical geography and social geography are branches of human geography. Cartography, remote sensing and geographic information systems are types of applied geography.
