This geopark is located approximately 25 km west of Fuping County in Hebei Province. It became a national geopark in 2002. It features a geomorphological landscape that includes the standard profile of the Taigu-YU-Quanping Group and the Tianshengqiao Waterfall Group, which was dated to 2.5 billion years ago. The Tianshengqiao Waterfall consists of nine waterfalls, and the Tianshengqiao Bridge is located at the top of the 112-m-high waterfall. The main rocks are sedimentary rocks that were deposited in a shallow sea 2.5 billion years ago. The rocks have experienced several periods of metamorphism, during which the original rocks were converted to schist, gneiss, granitic gneiss, and mixed lithic granite. In the recent geological past, the rocks were uplifted to the surface and eroded by flowing water to form cliffs, waterfalls, and natural bridges and arches.
