This geopark is located in Fuan City, Fujian Province. It has an area of 76 km2 and became a national geopark in 2009. The main geological features of the park are the enormous valley pothole groups, rare incised meanders formed in granite gorges, typical palaeo-volcanic structures and abundant volcanic rocks. Enormous potholes eroded by running water are densely distributed in the park and show the complete development process. Incised meanders formed in Longtingxi Gorge are 18 km long and 400 m deep and have a curvature of 1.9 m−1. Geodes and alkali-feldspar granites are important rocks in the area. The term ‘Fuan grotto granite landform’ was developed in this geopark.
